Here We Go again

I admit it, I gave up
But..
Lets try again, this time I'm gonna try something different .. that is
  • Seriously research a niche before going for it
  • outsource the articles
  • outsource the promotion
  • dont get attached to the sites
  • have some patience

A New spin on an old theme

Yesterday while sniffing around the net I came across an article by someone that turned out to be something of a revelation to me. I was fascinated by how the author had laid out the page and embedded his/her products.
I was really impressed by how good and professional the page looked. After decoding how the page was composed, I spent today setting up a few pages that emulate that page. I have to say they look great, wonder if they can get the job done though.

I also stumbled upon a keyword range last night that amazed me by how low the competition was, as reported by Google. I can't help but wonder why?
Possibly a dead end, but if not, could be an interesting ride. Anyway needless to say I set a few things in motion using said keyword range and only time will tell.

Quality Content

Today is Sunday, a great day to rewrite an article.
I took the article I spoke of yesterday and completely rewrote it, it was a complete embarrassment.
After about 4 hours of research and rewriting I have something that I'm fairly proud of.
It offers legitimate advice and help to those in need of the subject matter. I have republished it and hopefully you do indeed reap what you sow.
Lets talk a little here about tracking your articles. I was checking out the stats again and noticed that there are a lot of keywords being typed in to search engines to get to my article that are not the ones I tailored the article towards. They are however in the same ball park. Should I write more articles on the same subject targeting them?
Might be a good experiment, think I'll try that when time allows.
Apparently social bookmarking has a large part to play in getting traffic to your articles. What happens is every time you use a social bookmarking site to book mark your article, it creates what is known as a back link. A site linking to your site. Now depending on the credibility of the site you book mark on Google will basically take this as a suggestion from the site that the content has validity. Google has a different level of trust in each of these sites and this will correspondingly increase your chance of being indexed for search quickly.

So sites like Twitter, digg and Facebook have a lot of clout with Google. Nice way to get free traffic to your site or article etc.
Have a good relaxing Sunday everyone

Careful with your content

I decided to revue the content of an article I wrote a long time ago - the same article I mentioned last post.
You may remember I couldn't understand why it was getting absolutely no click throughs, yet getting over 1000 views a month.

After reading it I can only laugh at myself, what a load of crap.
No wonder it's performing so badly - or not at all.

I wrote this article quite a long time ago and wasn't really serious then.

I guess the topic today is quality content.

A lot of "guru's" out there will try to convince you that the quality of your content doesn't really matter.
as obvious as this may sound, it really is. People are not going to buy from you if you don't offer them something of value. Your article sets the scene and makes or breaks your reputation and credibility.

Put a little more effort in and hopefully it will pay off.
Tomorrow my first order of business is to rewrite that article and hopefully I won't lose my ranking with google.

Wish me luck
Sleep tite all

Article Marketing Again

Well, I chatted to one of the support guys on the forum at www.chrisfarrellmembership.com and he was extremely helpful. Friendly, informative and alround great to deal with. It took only about 20 minutes for him to respond to me, which is pretty quick.
He had a look at my article and gave me 5 suggestions for changes. I have implemented them and republished the article, so now we wait.

Article Marketing

I just checked out my article stats and noticed that one of my articles for a specific niche is getting over 1000 views a month - wow!
Problem is, it is not getting a single click through ;-(

Presumably, this means, I did a fantastic job of picking the niche and keywords for the article, but a terrible job of writing it in a captivating way.

It's actually ranking as No. 1 on Google for it's keyword, which excites me a little, but I am completely depressed about the results it's bringing in.

I'm hoping that someone on the membership forum at www.chrisfarrellmembership.com can help.
I'll update with what will hopefully be good news asap.

Writing Articles

So last night I wrote an article and I'm actually quite happy with it.
Usually I struggle badly writing articles, but last night was different.
I think it may be to do with the fact that I wrote it on paper first, then typed it.

If this is indeed the case, then this is a huge break through for me, because that has always held me back.
Don't now why I didn't think of that ages ago?????

So today's tip is if you are having trouble writing articles.........

WRITE IT ON PAPER FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!

Keyword Research

Ok, so today work was slow..........
As the title shows I've been researching keywords all day .. aargh. Not the most fun thing in the world but it must be done.
I've decided to write an article on a particular niche which I know a little about .................. and I mean a little!
If I get the time I'll try write the article later tonight, if I don't see the girlfriend haha.
Interestingly, on a unrelated note, I discovered that the word "nude" is searched for over 68 million times a month .................... damn.
Pity I don't know anything about being nude...;-)

Chris Farrell's Membership Site

Ok, so lets get started.
A couple of weeks ago I joined Chris Farrell's Membership Site.
I joined it because the reviews were good and Chris seems to be an honest guy trying to help others to learn how to make money on the internet.
I've tried quite a few of these sites in the past and nothing's ever come of them, but, so far Chris's training has been quite good. I must admit I've learned quite a lot.
Although I still have trouble getting my head around how all of this is going to make me money. I mean I see the potential, but I find it hard to put into practice. I am however going to keep trying. I'm not going to lie to you and tell you it's making me money, it hasn't made me a cent yet, but it looks like it may.
You can't help but like Chris, he's very down to earth and really does seem to genuinely want to help.
So fingers crossed, lets give it the old college try, shall we.

How to Make Money on the Internet

Hi, my name is Tony and I'm hoping that there are others like me out there.
I'm not even sure what I mean by "others", but please join me. I warn you though, I am going to write about all kinds of junk and sometimes I'm not going to be the most positive person in the world, but I'll try haha.

I am in IT and have been working on unix systems for approximately 12 years now. I've even been part owner of an ISP in the past. I am so incredibly sick of working in this environment, although that could be because I just can't seem to find people to work for that I respect. The IT world seems to be dominated by huge ego's and people that I just can't seem to get along with...................it's all starting to point to me being the problem.

Because of my desperation to get out of this industry, I have been trying to make money online, hoping to create a sustainable income with the goal of running a business from home. But alas, nothing has panned out, I've tried everything. I can't understand why I can't get it right, I'm not the most stupid person I've ever met, so what am I doing wrong?

I've tried:
- Article marketing
- Google adwords
- Google adsense
- Amazon
- Clickbank
- pretty much everything else out there
and still not a cent!...........well, a few cents, but nothing I would call a success.

So how are these people doing it..............or are they..........I don't really know. You see a bunch of "account" screenshots, but lets face it, you can manufacture those if you really want to.
I need help.
If you've got any ideas, please share, I would really appreciate it.

Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful day whoever you are
